Preliminary Findings and Limitations
When looking at my product from from concept to research I have to think about if it is right for the consumer. When looking at the research that I have done so far has shown me is that travelers welcome having options when it comes to their luggage. They like to try something new and if it is something they like they will keep using it. Also people love to have a 2 in 1 device so they do not have to spent too much money. They like to get the best bang for their buck.
Trends in the travel industry that I have seen is shoe storage is now being taken into account. Bags are now having storage for several pairs of shoes in a bottom zipper compartment so there is not a need for a separate bag for shoes and you can bring more than one pair of shoes on your trip. When it comes to the storage needs after the trip the trends are having open or floating wall shelving for people to store their shoes and with my product you will be able to still store your shoes on the open shelving and keep them covered at the same time to prevent dust and bugs from getting into them. The same product can be inserted into your luggage for the shoes to be carried in.
The marketing for this product strategy for the product is very simple. Building on social media I am going to talk about and show the product in action in several different scenarios. Also using Nike’s huge social media presence I will take in legal and ethical standards by disclosing which videos are ads and which are not.
The only gaps that I have encountered when developing the proposal is making sure I stay on target for the right market. I have to take into account when it comes to marketing to the age range of people I have to also remember they might not be on social media as much as some in the age group. Not everyone watches YouTube like television like others so I have to think about other places I can advertise the product in like television, magazines and maybe radio. That all can cost a lot of money for a up and coming business. With the baking of Nike the marketing should not be much of a problem.
