So You Are About to Enter the World of Marketing?
So you have graduated from school and now it’s time to enter the marketing force? You are now at the point you are looking for your first job and want to make sure you are going to the right company or even considering striking out on your own and starting you company. Congratulations it is a fun career if I say so myself. Here’s some advise that I would like to give you for when you start your journey into the marketing field.
Do not be afraid to be a shameless self promoter. When looking for a job in the field or even when you are in the field you want to make sure you promote yourself and your skills so potential employers and even clients know that they will be working with the best.
Do not be afraid to learn something new. As times and technology changes you want to make sure you stay ahead of the times. You want to make sure you learn more types of marketing techniques besides the ones that you learned in your classes in school. Also try them out so you know you way around.
Stay ethical. You want to make sure the marketing campaigns you are doing for your clients are honest and transparent. You also want to make sure you are with in the AMA guidelines so you and or the client does not get into any trouble.
There can be come challenges trying to keep to the three pieces of advise up as you go through your marketing career. There can be some obstacles thrown at you by people or companies that want you to work a certain way so they can get the results they want. You want to make sure your foundation is strong so not matter what is thrown at you in the field you are able to push through and give your clients great marketing campaigns they can use for years to come and also attract new customers to you and your company to get the same results. Being and staying true to yourself is the best way to become a great in the field of marketing. Who knows you can be the next person to come up with an iconic campaign like Nike’s “Just Do It.” Marketing is a great field to get into and with a good foundation you will be able to conquer the marketing world.
